Toward a Borderless Science: Editorial Evolution in Applied Sciences in Dentistry

La necesidad imperativa de acortar la brecha temporal entre la validación científica y su aplicación clínica exige la modernización de los sistemas de divulgación. En este contexto, a partir del año 2026, Applied Sciences in Dentistry adopta oficialmente el formato de publicación continua.
Esta transición estructural se sustenta en un estricto refuerzo del rigor metodológico y la ética editorial, estableciendo políticas orientadas a la erradicación de la endogamia académica y al fomento de la diversidad geográfica en la autoría.
Paralelamente, el avance contemporáneo de la estomatología y las ciencias de la salud demanda una profunda integración de la comunidad iberoamericana, haciendo de la colaboración interinstitucional y la investigación multicéntrica los pilares fundamentales para la construcción de conocimiento basado en la evidencia.
